I dont have to tell myself anything, 3 years down the road Kris Bryant will have 2x the amount of games in LF than he will have at 3B. Its that simple. But this is a trade thread and not a discussion on position changes, and I feel like its headed that way.

He absolutely came to the Cubs about it first. Except Maddon also said that he likes Bryant playing LF.

As to the trade itself you still probably have to give up one of Russell, Castro or Baez. The Marlins gave up 2 of their top 3 specs So to get them to move him they will probably want more value than they gave up.

I can't see the Cubs giving up Russell, in fact if OP wants to keep it more realistic I can't see the Cubs making huge trades IMO. It seems like they are being smart for once and patiently building with prospects they already have.

Possibly signing some big name pitchers in free agency.

I don't either unless they win big time on the deal, however they don't really have much to give up for cosart considering the value that Florida just gave up to get him and did so recently outside of those 3. The Marlins wouldn't just give him up

Maybe go for something like Addison Russell + Mike Olt for Cosart and Ozuna. Russell has no where to play unless you move him or Castro to left field or something.
Bryant is better suited for the OF with Russell going to third

^^ same cleveland guy from last year that would ask for help then blast everyone for their opinions...dont bite on it

starting with dbacks, not really realistic but trying to be fair and come up with a package to get hosmer. thinking trumbo and lamb/drury and shipley for hosmer and something small?

Yeah, messaged the mods.

Don't think they'd want Trumbo. Shipley is a good start. What other pitching would you give up?
