Power: down then up
Regular: Just up
Contact: left or right

So lets say you're a lefty, if you have 2 strikes and you're protecting, and they throw on the outside corner you would push left, if they throw on the inside black you would push right.

I haven't used contact swing at all yet though. Still trying to get the hang of this new analog which is tough enough as it is.

I have been a pure analog user since its inception as well. I am still trying to use it this year even with the changes. I do not find simply flicking it up very natural at all. The power swing is kind of odd too. Can I hold it down before the pitch and then move up for a power swing or does it all have to be done after the pitch?

Pure analog is a big step backwards imo.. Everything else greatly improved but pure analog is ruined.... I know they wouldnt listen but please patch this cause it's no fun

This is the biggest mistake Sony San Diego has ever done. I love the game, but the new analog hitting mechanic is just bad.

Well, I'm glad that I'm not losing mind about the stride......but

I really can't believe they did this to the hitting.... Who thought it was a good idea? It's not nearly as fun or intuitive a way to hit. OVerall the game is great, but this one of those fundamental things that should've been left alone.

It's so uncharacteristic of Sony San Diego. They usually add things not take away. I read an article a few years ago and someone from there said they were keen on leaving things so people could play how they want. That dude must have got fired lol.

Yep, they lost a customer in me and I have bought it every year on release day since 08. I don't get why they couldn't just leave it in as an option. Absolutely baffling to me. I will stick with 14 and update the rosters the best I can. This is literally the worst change they could have made IMO.
