Re: RTTS Trade logic a bit off?

Yeah, the trade logic is a little crazy for RTTS, especially around the trade deadline. I had a player who kept getting traded away from the team I wanted to stay at so I had a few save files at different points trying to bypass this trade. Long story short, I went back to edit the player and take a trade to a new team. The trades were crazy on a few reloads just to see what would happen.

1) Had a scheduled start against KC on 7/29, immediately traded to KC for that start. July 31st hit, traded back to my original team for the same player.

2) Traded to SF from Det for Cain. Next day, sent to Det from SF for Scherzer.

3) Traded to Braves from Det on 7/27 for 3 players. Went from Braves to Tampa on 7/29 in a 1:1 swap. Went to Washington on 7/31 on a 2:1 trade.

4) Traded from Det to Washington on 7/26 for Fister. Traded from Washington to St. Louis in a 1:1 deal on 7/28. Traded to Atlanta from StL in a 3:1 deal on 7/31.

5) Traded from Det to NYM on 7/25. On 7/27, traded from NYM to Seattle. On 7/28 traded from Seattle to Atlanta. On 7/30, traded from Atlanta to St. Louis. On 7/31, traded from St. Louis to Washington.

6) Traded from Det to Washington in for Fister on 7/26. Traded from Washington to KC for Salvador Perez on 7/28. Traded from KC to Det for Fister on 7/31.

Re: RTTS Trade logic a bit off?

Why in the world would the trade logic be any different for Road to the Show than it is for Franchise Mode? Does the CPU still make ridiculous trades in Franchise Mode as well? Every year we're promised improved trade logic... yet.

I feel your pain bro! I made a thread about this happening to me just two days ago... I was playin 3rd for the dodgers then right before Allstar they got rid of Kershaw for Cueto then traded Cueto 10 gms later. This is just one of the crazy trades that happened that season, but on a good note we did win 106 games and a WS so I just let it slide for now!

Yeah, I know what you mean. Some of those trades were just to see what would happen. A couple of them literally wiped themselves out within 2-6 days or could have just been done as swapping the players my RTTS character was traded for (Cain for Scherzer or Fister for Perez in a straight Wash-KC deal).

Gagnon, I haven't really messed too much with franchise this edition but using 30-team can eliminate this as you can see pending transactions and cancel them or just swap them back after the fact.

It's literally never been no where near this bad.

And it should be addressed.

Re: RTTS Trade logic a bit off?

In my RTTS I have a SS for the Pirates. 2 weeks into the season they trade away Pedro Alvarez for a AA pitching prospect 1:1. The pirates have only 1 other 1st baseman in Cory Hart and he is garbage. There is no way that this trade would ever really happen, especially with the minor league pitching talent the Pirates already have.

Then in the offseason, they trade my guy to the Reds after resigning me. I hate the Reds!!!
