Roster question - Season mode

Do you have any control over minor league roster in season mode beyond the players listed on the 40 man roster?
All I can find is major league and AAA player movement.
I think when I customized my roster to start the season I put a few of the major league borderline players in Single A since the Single A roster had room. Have I locked them in the minies for my whole season?
I have some tired bullpen arms. I need help on the big club.

In season mode anyone not on the 40 man roster it's made a free agent.

So, you don't have a full minor league system to work with, just the 40 man? In other words I can't go get a AA pitcher or A pitcher to move up, right?

You do have a full minors system when you start...just go to manage rosters use rb 1 to scroll thru and you will see Triple A Double A and A ..also by postion it will list each guy at that position and what league he is in

In franchise you have a full minor league system, in season you do not.
