    Simming Patterns for Your Franchise

I'm curious to see how many games everyone plays during their season......

Do you play every game? Do you simulate 3 games for every 1 played? Do you only play against aces? Etc etc.....

ive read most people usually play 1 game per series. i try to do this but i always feel like my teams stats will represent simmed games more than what i have done with the team. so i end up always playing all the games.

I play 1 and sim 5. I love trying to get through multiple seasons, so this is a fast way to do it. Plus you pitch with a new SP every time.

Only time I change is in Sept, if I'm in contention for the playoffs then I will play most games. Also play every postseason game.

Back when madden was good in like 05 lol I would play ever game because NFL season is so short that it is pretty easy to get though a season. In the another sports I would say I tend to play like half. At the same time I don't have has much free time has I used to being 26 and working. Also I don't know if a lot of guys on hear are like me but I love to watch sports. This time of the year I mostly don't play video games for like a month because of NBA playoffs and work. I also play sever another games besides just this game so I have not gotten even passed 1 year in a baseball game in a long long time. I was disappointed in last years game for the first time ever so I am going to start a new franchise this year. Hopefully starting this year and going into next year with having year to year saves I can get though at least 1 season lol.

I play every game, around the same time the real team play it. I also play some of the AA and AAA games.

I'm planning on using quick counts to play through at least one game per series. For the others I'll sim within the game, stopping to play out the final three frames.

I play all 162 using Quick Counts. Each game usually lasts between 30-45 minutes. I too play games around the same time and calendar date as the ream team -- usually one or two games ahead/behind.

I play every game...using player lock. I'll pick a different guy every game and if it's close late I'll switch off and play the rest out. Usually I'll play the full game with my #1 starter.

I shared this in another thread but, my system is:
                  Sun -Quick Counts
                  Mon -player lock(batter)
                  Tue -QCs
                  Wed -PL (b)
                  Thu -QCs
                  Fri -QCs
                  Sat -PL (starting pitcher)

I've loved it so far, plus with an off day in every week it really goes quick. This is just my schedule for April, I may change it for other months

Re: Simming Patterns for Your Franchise

I usually play 1 game per in-game week. To mix things up, I just pick a random day and play that game. Keeps things interesting because I'm not usually playing with the same pitcher each time but sometimes play 2-3 games in a row with the same SP so I get some familiarity. I have several other games and "life things" vying for my time so I make use of the Fast Forward feature, too. Typically FF through a half inning at a time so I can pick up and go if I need to. Usually end up actually playing more like 6-7 innings. I also swap between actually playing and just managing. Like others, I will usually play every post-season game.

I hate changing difficulty in the middle of a season so if I find that it's getting too easy to win every game, I'll sometimes alternate between playing and simming in the postseason just to keep things a little more interesting. Then I'll adjust difficulty before the start of the next season.

I play then sim 10. If there is a "fun" series I play it out. In September all bets are off if it's a close race. I have been known to play all of September.

I play out the playoffs if I make it.

I play one, then sim three. If my team falls out if the playoff race, then I sim five for every game I play.

I sim more because I want the simmed stats to influence my team totals. No matter what I do to balance the game with sliders, I'm always off . The sliders I use now give me the correct number of hits, extra base hits, homers, and runs per game, but I only average 1 walk per game and 4-5 strikeouts. Simming helps even out my stats.

I'm playing with the Rays and in about 35 games. I use quick counts and fastplay so the game takes about 25 minutes or so. Unless you get one of these ...

I like to pick two guys in the rotation to pitch with at the start of the season. On their days to start, I pitch with them, sim the hitting. For the games they do not start, I sim the pitching and I hit the entire game.

The fast forward option is a great addition for that.

If the games are close at the end, sometimes I jump in, sometimes I don't. Helps me get through a lot of games, while having a hand in every outcome.

wow 25 innings that is crazy! The most I have ever had in these games is 16 and I don't play with QC so that 16 inning game took me like 3 and a half hours. A 25 inning game would take me like 5 hours lol.
