Batting Practife Before Games in RTTS

Does it really have any effect on your game?

I remember warming up as a pitcher always helped with your confidence in any pitch that you warmed up with, but I don't see any indication that doing the BP before your game helps.

Am I missing something?

Nope. I might do it when I first start up the game to get my timing down if I haven't played in awhile. Otherwise, I skip it.

No, but i wish it was easier to launch balls during BP. Similar to hitting in the home run derby.

The way it is right now is like a normal game probably.

Don't kno if this is wat u r referring to. But if u go to ur calendar before the game click a previous day. Go to batting practice. Once inside pause the screen. U will see modes. U can practice base running & bat control

The BP doesn't really do anything but It helps get you accustomed to the stadium and the dimensions if you haven't played there before

Re: Batting Practife Before Games in RTTS

What bugs me the most is it's always a right handed pitcher. I use a switch hitter in RTTS and the opponent's starting pitcher dictates what side you take BP from but the batting practice pitcher is always a righty.

Of course he's never going to have the same arm slot as the pitcher you face but it be nice if the handedness was the same.

I am with you 100% on this. While my RTTS is fairly balanced vs both right handed and left handed pitchers, I initially gave him slightly better a slightly better contact rating vs right handed pitchers since the majority of starting pitchers tend to be right handed.

It really screws me up when I take batting practice before facing a pitcher who throws left handed because I use the PCI and it is noticeably different due to the disparity in ratings my player has.

I become frustrated after the first few times and started skipping batting practice all together whenever I face a left handed pitcher since I felt like it was doing more harm than good.

While this is not a significant problem for me, more of an annoyance, I could see this being an issue for players who wish to develop a player who crushes lefties and is only slightly above average vs right handers.
