First Ever Triple Play!

So I was playing my online franchise sitting at 7-1 with the Cubs against the Pirates. In the bottom of the 5th I was down 4-2 to the Pirates with runners on the corner and Kris Bryant up with 2 outs. Bryant hit a blast to straight away center and got robbed by McCutchen jumping through the fence that hangs out at Wrigley to keep it 4-2.

The top of the 6th was getting out of hand with runners on 1st and 2nd for the Pirates with nobody out and a game that was about to be blown open. The first pitch by Gregory Polanco was lined hard towards 3rd in foul territory. When Polanco hit the line drive runners were on the move for a hit and run. Bryant, still pissed from getting robbed, snagged the foul line drive for 1, threw to second for 2, and Baez threw to 3rd for the third out! We still lost the game 4-3 stranding the bases loaded in the 8th that doomed us.

That was my first time ever witnessing a triple play without a baserunning blunder in MLB The Show and it was amazing. That got me to thinking, how many of you have had a triple play before? Please feel free to share

You know, I was thinking about that as I typed this. It was 2am and I was playing since 10am since I was off of work and it was my first day of summer break. Needless to say I was half asleep and didn't think about it at the time with it being my last game of the night :/ I am really upset with myself that I didn't save the replay!

Had the cpu pull one on me a few years ago, albeit via a baserunning blunder on my part. Runners on the corners, struck out swinging with my pitcher, trying to protect my runner on first, who I wanted to steal second to take away the double play. When I saw the throwdown to second, I too late decided to send the runner on third home. The first runner was thrown out at second, The second runner was out at home. I'll never forget I lost 1-0 un extra inninhs. In retrospect, even with 2 strikes, I should have still attempted to bunt with my pitcher. If it hadn;t been early in the game, I'd have used a pinch hitter.
