No helmet flaps

Has anyone else noticed some players that have no ear flaps on his helmet? In my game AJ Ellis (EDIT: And my Diamond Dynasty player) has a no flap helmet and I've gone from loading multiple different rosters to reinstalling the game but he still has a no flap helmet.

Ive noticed this in DD with my created player. The option for the batting helmet is there,but it's grayed out and not able to be selected.

I just got the legendary Steve Finley card and he has the correct helmet flap....I was thinking it was only a bug with created players though.

I recently just made my created DD player, and it seems that this problem extends to it as well.
