How use classic roster files for Franchise/Season?

I have searched but can't seem to find the answer to this...can you use a historical roster file...say 1967...for use in a Franchise or Season mode where you can specify how many teams make up the league?

This would be done in order to exclude the expansion teams that were not around at the time. Is anything like this possible yet? I thought I remembered on the PS3 you could do something like this but I can't seem to find the information on how to set it up and bring in only the teams you want. This would be for the PS4 and MLB15.

Thanks!

Capa,

The answer is no. You can not customize how many teams are in season/franchise mode. So the expansion teams will be playing as well (with generic players etc).

Easy to overlook as the game is so great. But it would be nice for future versions to have full season customization options for us old times who like to play retro 60's, 70's and 80's baseball roster set season replays!

That's also where a stadium and uniform creator would come in handy. I've always liked making retro rosters, would be cool to have the authenticity of the stadiums and unis from the era.

But you can do a playoff with the historical rosters. Play a shortened or full length season with your favorite teams and sim. Would love to see custom divisions so I can have the Expos Mets and Filthadelphia Philthys in with my Bucs, Cubs and Cards.
