International Free Agents

Is there any known way to create players that can hit the open market, and act as International Free Agents within Franchise mode? I've tried a few different things, but I can't think of a way to edit a player to where he could actually hit the free market. I've edited draft picks that I'm not interested in keeping, added them to my major league roster, and let their contracts expire, but they're still only getting the 1-year 500k offers from teams, when in reality, they should be in 5 year, 60+ million territory. Is there anyway to bypass the 6 years of MLB experience guys need to become actual free agents, or any other known workarounds?

I don't know of a way to make them actual free agents. It would be a huge addition to franchise if they added international FA's, at 16 years old. And then they could make the draft pool more realistic(Not be 70% Hispanic names). It could also be a way to better represent Asian players, while there's not very many, the ones that are in MLB are more likely to be exceptional at one or many aspects of the game.

Re: International Free Agents

The only thing that springs to mind, would be to edit some low rated A ball guys and turn them into INTL FA's just before the season ends and the hit free agency

Re: International Free Agents

That's basically what I tried, and they were still only receiving 1-year, 500k offers, even if I'm making them in their mid-to-late 20's.

I edited them in the offseason, though. Maybe I'll try it at the end of the post season, how you're saying, and see if that makes any difference.
