Just a head up to the MLB The Show Team, the Houston Astros are making changes to Minute Maid Park in Center Field for the 2016 season.

I felt that should have gone the opposite direction. Instead of removing it, turn the outfield into something resembling that show Wipeout.

It seems like any ballpark with dimensions or features that are unfriendly to homerun hitters get changed eventually.. I don't like it at all..

Citi Field looks ridiculous with the patchwork fencing and huge gaps between the fans and the wall.. The bullpen looks like a prison yard..

I liked Tal's hill.. All the arguments against it were weak at best. "A blown ACL waiting to happen" was constantly repeated.. Number of injuries that occurred due to Tal's hill? Zero. Some say it was a forced unique feature.. You mean like the Ivy added to Wrigley 20 years after it opened?

Yet another step toward boring, cookie cutter, bandbox stadiums.
