Mound visit

When is the best time to use mound visit I just got rocked using tanaka of the Yankees and I feel I should of use mound visit more but idk. What your thoughts ?

When a pitcher is having trouble in an inning, a 'Mound Visit' by the pitching coach can help the pitcher recover some lost confidence. This is especially important for starters who are struggling in an early inning. Mound visits are best used after a pitcher gives up multiple runs, or many (at least three) hits and walks. They can also be used as a stalling tactic to help warm up your bullpen in a tough situation.

1 per inning, per pitcher.

For example. If you want to visit your starter and he gets roughed up and you have to bring in a reliever, if he gets roughed up you can go and visit him as well.

I believe they can also lower confidence if used at the wrong time.

100 % if you use at the wrong time confidence will go down.It's happened to me a number of times.It can be tricky at times.

As a pitcher it's how it should be! There were times the pitching coach walked out there and it really pissed me off lol

You can use a 2nd mound visit as a stall tactic. But you must change pitchers after the 2nd mound visit.

I always thought we should also get the option of doing a catcher-only mound visit instead of it being a random cutscene thrown in rarely.

I select the mound visit option when changing out my pitchers instead of going straight to the bullpen. I guess in my head I see it as a meeting on the mound with the infielders too and it could possibly calm them down too.
