Simming games

How do you guys go about simming games in franchise vs playing them all? If I played all 162 games it'd take me 2 years to get through a season. So my question is how do you guys determine which games you play vs which you sim?

Re: Simming games

My crazy way of doing it is I play until I lose a game then I sim until the I lose one simming. Sometimes I have a hot streak and play several in a row then sometimes the we get on a hot streak simming. Helps balance out the stats, too.

Re: Simming games

That would work. I was doing where id play one game per series, but then I found myself playing the games with the same starter, or playing the games against their worst starter. So I wanted something more random

Re: Simming games

Every fifth game to go through my rotation, unless I hit a series I want to play. Then if I make the post season I take a different approach, playing the first game and then playing/simming depending on results.

Same, I always go through the rotation and then play every game in the playoffs. So you're playing with each pitcher 3 or 4 times going into the playoffs.

Re: Simming games

I play at least one game every series. This makes it so I play every opponent in the league and use all my starting pitchers. I even play some minor league games too.

Re: Simming games

I play all the games. I would like to sim through some to be able to get through a couple seasons and go deeper into it, but I hate simming because I think it affects gameplay when you go back and play. Im sure it is all in my head lol. It just seems like the game gets inflated and then stupid things start happening. Like I said, it may just be in my head. Ive thought about playing a week, simming 2 weeks. How do you guys sim lets if you play every 5th game. Do you sim each day 1 day at a time, or do you go 5 days over and sim though day?

Franchise SIM is dead. Find your favorite iterations and play it forever. Card games are whats "now" and games will cater in that direction and forget realism.

Just have fun and play :)
