That is what year to year saves are for.

I am playing all 162. Sorta....one game I will pitch only and simulate the hitting. The next game I hit only and simulate the pitching. This is the only way could possibly do it and I love it! I enjoy feeling like I'm the pitcher rooting for run support one game, and the next the pressure is on me to give run support. Challenging but very fun playing all 162.

I probably won't utilize that option, but I see what you're saying.

Re: Playing every game in Franchise

Buddy and I share a profile and email a franchise back and forth with the Braves and Cards. We did it last year and played all 162. We're almost at the All-Star break now playing every game.

Hell, I even play the Spring Training games. You don't have to care about your record and you can try crazy things just for the hell of it.

Re: Playing every game in Franchise

I'll play all 162 with the Red Sox. Currently 12-7 with my offense finally making an appearane. I was able to trade a handful of top prospects to get Johnny Cueto and Aroldis Chapman. Probably won't re-sign Cueto, but Chapman has 2 years left, I believe. After playing all 162, I will probably simulate 4-5 years, and then play again. Looking forward to Margot, Bogaerts, Betts, Moncada, Devers, Owens, and Rodriguez being the cornerstones for the BoSox in 2020!

For those of you that play all 162, do you use quick counts? Or play full games?

I am using quick counts. It helps and hurts. Obviously as a "free swinger" it hurts as I sometimes only have 1 swing and a miss before an out. But the plus side I can actually walk once in a while too. The team batting avg (i am at work now not sure what it is exactly) is pretty realistic too. I also understand how a lot don't really like this feature. But it works for me with work, family etc.
