    Coors field park effects?

Does the game model the high altitude coors park effect?

It doesn't feel like it when I play. I find it to be one of the harder parks to homers in.

Same here. Now, my experience is still very limited. I've only played 12 franchise games and only three at home, but in series at Milwaukee (won 2/3), at San Francisco (swept the Giants) and at LA Dodgers (won 2/3), I have jacked at least two every game.

The three home games at Coors Field so far, not a single home run, not even so much as a triple, and I got swept by and had my *** handed to me by the Cubs.

It has never had any effect. How one can say otherwise is really reaching. Even if it were somehow put in the game, how are you going to quantify it? You can't. One might first assume by home runs, but it doesn't give up the most in the league, and is generally down the list a good bit. The wall distances generally compensate for any gains in ball flight that the altitude provides, and having the largest field surface area, you are more prone to give up more doubles than anything. Either way, in the game, it always plays like any other park. In the end, good pitching will rule the day anywhere.

It certainly has a effect, I've noticed that the ball carries more in in the real home run ballparks like Coors, Yankee and Arizona. Its also almost impossible to hit a homer in Citi.

It does have an effect. I remember a dev talking about it.

Normally in Home Run Derby, I can't get close to 500 ft. If I play in Coors, distances in the 460s to 480s are not uncommon.

Devs have confirmed that is in the game. It has been in for a few years now.

Though I, too, seem to recall them saying it has been put in some time back, I'll stand by my original post. I've played enough games to know that you'll never perceive any difference, just as you likely wouldn't in real life either, I suppose. Did they truly calculate balls to go 10% further--on all fly balls? I have my doubts, and we'll never likely know. Do we take their word for implementing something that cannot be seen when some things that can very much be seen, such as uniforms, aren't implemented? It would be an odd move, but they're obviously free to focus their efforts where they see fit.

I play lots of games in Dodger stadium in my online league and the second I play one in Coors field I can feel it. Not sure what it is exactly but the scores are higher there.

Go hit 100 HR in the HR derby. I guarantee you that the 100 hit in Coors will go farther on AVG than the other 29 stadiums. Just because you refuse to accept that actually makes a difference doesnt mean its not true.

Just played a 4 game series there in my franchise. Only two homers in the 4 games, both by Colorado. Though my Braves team has the 29th power rating and I'm last on the league in actual homers. I'm 3rd in contact. I did power swing a few times, but it led to balls off the wall in dead center, not a homer.

Honestly I notice more hits there than more HR's...seems like the quality of contact is better.
