Strange occurrence in RTTS

So I booted up a RTTS save and went to play a game. Here's the situation:

I was playing at home and was batting 3rd in the lineup. I had my fielding opportunities set to 'None' so I wouldn't have to play defense and could just sim directly to each of my at bats.

When the computer was batting and being simmed, the leadoff batter was called out, and after the quick sim to my next appearance, the visiting team ended the 1st inning with 2 runs off 3 hits and the top 2 batters in my lineup getting called out. So my first plate appearance is with 2 outs, down 2-0.

For a reason I can't recall, I finished the game and exited back out to the menu. I have autosave turned off, so the game wouldn't save if I need to quit at any time, so I intentionally restarted my RTTS save again and replayed the game. Here's where it gets strange.

After simming up to my first plate appearance, I noticed the same exact sequence happened like the first time. CPU batting first, lead off man is out, inning finishes with 2 runs off 3 hits, and top 2 guys on my side get out, leaving me up to bat once again with 2 outs and down 2-0. So I decided to experiment to see if this would happen a 3rd time. Why not.

Restart RTTS save, replay game... Same exact sequence again. leadoff out, 2 runs off 3 hits and 2 outs on my side. Restarted a 4th time. Same thing. 5th time, same thing. And the thing is, I was willing to chalk it up as a coincidence, until I restarted the game a 10th consecutive time and got the same exact sequence without fail. I'm not exaggerating, either.

For those things to happen 10 times in a row -- 2 runs/3hits, 2 outs on my side on my first plate appearance -- that's starting to sound less coincidental, and looking more predetermined programming. I don't know a lot in this area, so I'd thought I'd leave it up to what you guys think before I jump to conclusions.
