I think this cutscene has been in the game since MLB 09 or 10. I watch every cutscene and love it! Except this one.

There's a lot of cutscenes that are played out. Like I was highly amused watching the manager playfully smack a player in the dugout after a home run...during MLB 12: The Show.

Some people like to let cut-scenes play out to add to the immersion. Having a quirky cutscene play out once in a while is fun, but if over-used, it hurts that immersion that was being sought in the first place. I believe that is the issue.

With sports games, I have always figured that cut-scenes vary with a random number generator. Seems like this would be an easy fix by making it a 1 in 200 occurrence...or something like that.

I'm a stats guy so I like to see my reliever's stats when he comes in because it makes it seem more true to an actual broadcast. If you hit X you miss this. Overreaction? Not really when it happens about 75% of the time.
