thanks for your response, however I don't think it's solely based on budget size. I did a little tinkering to see if you could glitch it ala Fifa, I moved players to Free agency and started over and it reduced my expectations.

I guess the only work around would be 30 team control put your players in free agency and then resign them to their original contracts, or to just turn it off. Getting fired is a pretty cool feature but when half the teams goals are win the world series or be fired it's clearly not implemented properly. You can be an excellent GM and never win a World Series....
