Why do the fans go bananas at all times during the playoffs?

Looks unrealistic... Anyone else agree?

meh i dont mind that, the one i dont like is at the Turner Field where every single fan does the "Chop" the entire game.

I really dont think fans would do the "Chop" for 2 1/2 to 3 hours straight without ever stopping.

The fans go crazy for the visitors hits runs etc. needs to be toned down a bit

Re: Why do the fans go bananas at all times during the playoffs?

I think part of the problem is that some places DO go bananas during the playoffs, while others don't.

I remember Toronto in 92/93. The whole city was nuts, and it was awesome.

I agree that a three hour chop is ridiculous, but some cities really are banana pants crazy about their team.

I would rather have them go nuts than to have all the fans be quiet and just sitting down.

It doesn't need to be one or the other, though. I would love to see more dynamic crowds and crowd noise. I've posted it in a few threads now, but it would be great to see the reactions to big hits that we see in real life; the initial cheer, then the roar after the ball drops or goes over the fence.

Being a Braves fan and recently going to a Braves home game, I can confirm they, in fact, do NOT chop the whole game. Only times the chop comes out is after big plays like HR's and random times when the jumbotron calls for it.

The Braves crowd is weird in this game. I hit a walk off HR in extra innings once, and the crowd didn't react at all until the ball landed over the fence and the cutscene of the player rounding first started playing. IRL, a walk off shot garners a wild response from the fans as soon as the ball comes off the bat. In this instance, it did not.

They aren't crazy enough. They should be hitting each other with thunder sticks and strangling each other with those towels.
