I pre-ordered the physical disc off Amazon, so I don't think it's that. I also bought the anniversary edition. Maybe they just haven't gotten to everybody?

It's the legit playstation email address, I get messages from them all the time. It's just that this one was worth reading.

Also mine says it expires in a year 09/09/2016...not today 09/09/2015.

This would be very random spam as I've never done anything to alert anyone online that i have this game.

The more I look at stuff, the more scammy it seems, even though the code worked. Like, what is @playstationemail anyway? All it sends me are weekly ads which link to the appropriate places, so it's not like it's asking me to provide information.

I also went back and noticed previous emails from "PlayStation Network" that no longer have any images. Or other "Playstation" emails that have dashes and stuff in them. Comparing this to emails from Amazon or EA, they also don't link to their Google+ page. And it doesn't match the confirmation email address when I buy stuff off the store. It might just be a copy, paste job.

I think you're right. Maybe the devs can stop this if it really is illegitimate.

Went to the Show forums and people are starting to pop up on there with this to. So maybe we will hear from somebody in the know about what is actually going on here.
