I got no-hit by Dallas Braden in MLB....11? maybe... or 12. Just couldn't hit, couldn't focus, mind wandering and got thumped.

Stuff happens.

Jeff Samardzija threw one with the Los Angeles Angels in my Road to the Show career.

No, I distinctly remember losing that game. I remember that's also the game where I lost Adrian Beltre during the game due to injury going into September. In retrospect, I should have just pulled the plug on the console and pretended that game never happened.

Re: Anybody ever seen the CPU throw a No-No ?

Immediately after posting in this thread I turned on The Show and Jason Marquis promptly held me to a perfect game until the 5th, and no-hit me for 7 and 2/3 innings. I broke the no-no with a random home run from Michael Cuddyer, but lost anyway, 2-1.

I blame you guys.

Re: Anybody ever seen the CPU throw a No-No ?

This is the closest I have came to getting no-hit by the CPU...

Two weeks after picking up MLB The Show 15, I hopped into a dynasty with the Minnesota Twins. In my first series against Detroit, I faced Verlander in the second game of the series. He had pinpoint control and was hitting his spots throughout the game. He had a no-hitter through eight innings and I entered the 9th inning hoping something would give as his pitch count was closing in on 100.

When the 9th inning began, Verlander immediately started leaving pitches up in the zone and I got two singles to start out the 9th. I ended up losing the game, but was just happy to escape without getting no-hit.

I can relate, I had one of those games in my franchise, I was getting so frustrated I even decided to cheat by switching sides when I hit the ball into the outfield, but the hit was ruled a error so the no-no was still going, I just gave up after that and accepted the humiliating defeat.

Re: Anybody ever seen the CPU throw a No-No ?

I was being no hit by Dwight Gooden in my 1987 franchise. I broke it in the bottom of the 9th with 2 out with Rick Cerone of all players.

It was sick. I really thought I was going to be no hit by Doc. But punching Judy (.240 hitting) Cerone ripped a scorcher into the RC gap for a stand up double.
