I don't like the use of the word boring. Baseball is not boring! Everything else was good though.

Because, they have data that shows people skip presentations. That is why they've removed some stuff the last couple of years.

Moral of the story.......................tell people to quit button mashing.

Maybe people skip them because those people feel the scenes aren't even worth watching? It's a strange leap to say that because people skip the cutscenes, that there is no interest in cutscenes.
Just because no one buys Zunes doesn't mean there is no demand for quality music players.

I agree.

If on a 1-10 scale a real life playoff game or a big moment equals a 10, The Show seems to only be able to go to about 7.

It would be a lot of work though, to get the crowd animations, the crowd noise, player reactions, and then commentary too?

Plus there are different gradations of excitement. Is it a regular season rivalry? A walk off win? A post season game? A world series walk off HR?

Would be worth it though, because yes baseball is very drawn out and filled with many routine moments, which make those intense situations all the more intense.

Omit those intense situations and it just doesn't quite capture the game.

You don't want to watch or think cut scenes are worth watching turn on fast play. Problem solved.

Re: This game desperately needs some excitement

But I like button mashing. Most of the time I want the play to move quickly, but sometimes I want to sit back and admire that home run, or prepare myself for my next AB, or psyche myself up for the next pitch, and the broadcast really helps. Also sometimes I like to just watch it. I never know until I'm in the game.

Re: This game desperately needs some excitement

Just my speculation, but I think people tend not to skip cut scenes when...

...they are in a big situation.
...they have more time to play (think weekends).
...they are doing well.

I wonder if there is enough data to find out if these things are true. Hell, I wonder if it's even true for me. Big data probably knows us better than we know ourselves.
