Speaking of animations, I hope eventually to see two things:

Catcher animations completely redone.

The foul tip redone (the 1-handed follow through is way too quick for me).

When I read it it sounded crazy, but then I wondered if they could cobble together a poor-mans version to use during spring training when they get face scans. Just to get a few swings from players who want to and/or are getting face scans. Even that is crazy, but I've seen video game developers do crazier things.

Good point, but your example of rockstar is hard to compare. Rockstar is a much larger dev studio with many more employees, and a MUCH larger dev cycle. Overall, I'm actually more impressed with what the Show devs accomplish, and Red Dead Redemption is in my top 10 favorite games of all time list.

if all they did was mocap, 60 hours a week, would that still be enough time? gimme a sec to do the math.

1500 players...that's over 100 players per month. And that means taking resources away from improving other areas of the game. By resources I mean time, money, manpower, etc.

we do however have to seriously work on the catcher stuff behind the plate... there is def not enough movement behind the plate for blocking balls or all that...

just my .02...
In your mind it might be feasible but in the real world this is one of the most ludicrous suggestions I have ever read.

Are you accounting for the cost involved with bringing every player in? What is the motivation to get every player to come in and do this? What about the time involved?

What about the opportunity cost to do this?

I honestly have a hard time believing that was even a real suggestion.
