MLB The Show 16 Video - Franchise Mode

Sony San Diego has just released another MLB The Show 16 video. This one features everything you want to know about Franchise mode, including player morale, free agent signings, blockbuster trade notifications, and updated budgets.

Other little improvements include new GM goals, an authentic 20-80 scale for scouting and more. More details will arrive on their Twitch stream, scheduled for Thursday, March 3 at 5:00 PM ET.

    Watch the video here
to find out what Luis Martinez from the Developer team has to say about it.

My apologies, I assumed everyone could find their way to The Shows facebook page.

My only gripe is no mention of in-season contract extensions.

Nice! I wonder what David Ortiz waving to the fans was all about? His last game at Fenway or did he reach a milestone? Very cool feature whatever it is!

One other thing I noticed, remedial or not, this video doesn't hiccup at all. That is full-fledged 60fps from start to finish. Hope we see more of that on the field in MLB The Show 16.

Seems like the perfect year to include mid-season extensions.

Sweet Jesus that looks great! Love the pop ups when players sign new contracts or whatever....will that happen automatically, and for every major player? or only for your team? Only when clicking on the news story? This is GREAT!

Looks good, as if SCEA is closing the gap some with NBA 2k. I'd still like confirmation on:

                          • Franchise player demotion/promotion based on more than just injuries
                          • Will transfer saves include previous season stats INCLUDING your unique season stats previously played?
                          • Bullpen AI so that RPs are used more strategically, and not just pulled after giving up a run
                          • More subtle defensive shifts by AI
                          • Spring training not counting as player option
                          • The new playoff roster rule from 2015 that anyone on the 40-man roster is eligible, regardless whether they've played during the season or not

Love the budgets with revenue sharing, etc. They really listened well with the budget changes and morale, much more immersive than the arbitrary setting of ticket prices, etc.

A few other additions I'd like to see:

-Editable Team Budgets at the beginning of Franchise
                            -Offsetting funds on trades
-Player morale stretched to include player types (Catchers that are good at framing giving pitchers a BB/9 boost, Veteran players giving younger players a boost at certain traits, and vice versa)

All in all, welcomed changes. Can't wait for release date.
