Carryover Franchise issues?

I've seen several posts about this being an issue in different discussions and honestly can we keep this for its own discussion since a lot of people seem to use this feature.

The big issue is morale. When carryover season is imported, all players have "star status". Pitchers status is "ace". Just curious if anybody has found a workaround or have to wait to be patched.

Feel free to add anything else that happens with carryover.

We're aware of the issue and working on a fix, but in the meantime, if you simulate to the end of the season, all Player Roles should update correctly.

If we go ahead and start the carryover season and start playing in April, will the patch take immediately? Or would we have to reimport?

I don't mind to go ahead and start my carryover along as patch fixes bug during season. Hope this make sense.

What about the stats being imported improperly? Is that part of the fix?

If we start our carry over franchise when the game comes out and don't have to import our save from 15 again when the patch comes out that will help some. I will just take my franchise a little slower until the fix comes out but if we have to restart and import our save from 15 then it's better just to wait.

Only issue I have seen is it randomly assigns your player a birthplace and you can't change it.

Have you guys seen any RTTS carry over save issues?

Was actually just watching some of Millennium's stream while eating dinner. Apparently the same bug in franchise is affecting RTTS too. I will have to check my carryover save from 15 later tonight to see.

Best thing to do is sit tight and wait for the patch to address it.

In the meantime rock a new franchise, play some post season mode, diamond dynasty, conquest, draft a fantasy team etc and before you know it the patch will be here as well as OSFM!

I'm not bashing them by any means but I do find it astonishing that with all the new features in franchise with birthplace/morale/role etc.. that they didn't think of using one of there other huge feature carry over saves and see what effect it would have.

That's... actually a good idea. I'm super eager to continue my carry over franchise, but sinking some time into conquest would be a good crucible to help figure out my settings while I wait for the patch.

They do test for compatibility of all modes. Things happen, and late code changes fudge things up sometimes. We even brought our personal MLB 15 saves with us to SDS, and it wasn't an issue then. That was months ago though.

Stats and birthplace are also being looked at. Hang tight for details about the player role expectations fix, but as we mentioned, the issue gets resolved at the end of the season. So for people that have saves from 15 close to that point, you should be good to go.
