Zone vs Timing vs Directional vs Pure Analog Hitting

I wanted to start a thread for us to talk about the pros & cons of the hitting interfaces in the game.

As for me, in the past few years I've been using Pure Analog or Directional hitting exclusively. Against the CPU it's working just fine, after finding the most suitable difficulty I can play and have fun. The results are also there.

However, in MLB 15 the online netcode improved so much, that I started playing against other people. I discovered, that people using Zone Hitting are playing better baseball against human opponents. I always have trouble playing against other people using Zone, because they can foul off all of the strikeout pitches.

I would like to know your opinion about this and start a conversation about the 4 different hitting interfaces of the game.
