Re: Trade Logic In Franchise Mode

I'm going to get the game regardless, but I'd definitely appreciate an update on this. Thanks for the OP!

I've generally "controlled all 30 teams" in the past, but let basically all of them run on auto-pilot, and then I'd check every few days to see if anyone made trade offers and accept/reject them myself.

But it would be nice to be able to just focus on the one or two teams that I want to control.

They need to do this again. Simple fix to an annoying problem.

One thing that might help to prevent this from happening is to save the franchise after every trade happens then if the next day the same player gets traded again don't save it and just load the saved franchise

Re: Trade Logic In Franchise Mode

Don't know if any of you guys play NBA 2K16, but in myleague there is an option for the commish to approve trades. I will review each trade on a case by case basis and approve them if it makes sense. MLB the Show needs this function. I absolutely hate how team X will trade a player and then re-acquire him a few days later. Seemed to happen quite a bit last year. That being said, this has no bearing on my desire to get the game. I'm taking a half day off today and picking it up. I am 32 years old, so it's debatable as to how lame it is of me to use my vacation time on a video game. My gf would not approve which is why I haven't told her, ha.

Re: Trade Logic In Franchise Mode

Hey guys, about to sim the 2nd off-season now. Will report if this type of stuff occurs every off-season, or if it's rare.

Like I said though, everything else seems to be working golden and as intended within franchise mode.

Re: Trade Logic In Franchise Mode

Been playing the Show now for 3 years straight (plus 2011) and I can honestly say I have never seen a trade that wonky. On the flip side though Zimmerman/Maybin for Perez isn't the worst trade in the world as the Royals are in win now mode and Zimmerman is a decent upgrade over a Volquez or even Ventura in my opinion. My guess is the cpu forgot that it just traded him away AND acquired a CF in return which does kind of worry me that this can happen in the future. I'll sim a few seasons when I get the game tonight but still there is always 30 team control if its a recurring issue!

Re: Trade Logic In Franchise Mode

So, 2017 season has come and gone, and things are looking MUCH better

We had one big trade go down during the season, and it was this..

Then, during the off-season, nothing out of the ordinary, couple big name trades though.

Going to sim a few more off-seasons to make sure that Cain situation is a rarity
