Game looking really Jaggy?

Anyone else noticing this?

It's almost like the removed any implementation of AA this year.

Shadows, models, even part of the UI like the Pitching Interface look super jagged.

Man, even the strike zones box is jagged.

Looks like all these new UI elements were created in Paint.

Some of them look pretty good, like the batters walkup display, but the Pitch Display info, and the icons around fielders all look awful.

You can see the left and right side of the strike zone the weird jaggedness, it's like some was creating the boxin Paint, screwed up, and never fixed it.


This is way harder to see because of the size limitations on PS4 screenshot uploads, but if you bring it up in game you can see the jaggedness on the ball placement icon, and the grey aiming icon.



Wish you could upload 1080 screens on the PS4, would make this way easier.

Yeah I find the AA worse than normal this year. I also find the AF a bit iffy at times.

Unfortunately I believe it's hardware limitations (these new consoles just aren't that great IMO). Something has to give.

AA shouldn't be affecting UI element though.

There is something very weird about the games visuals this year.

I noticed the jaggedness of the analog pitching meter but it's not a huge deal to me. Still be nice if they can improve it

I think you might be on to something. It's possible they toned down AA or are even running the game sub-1080p to accommodate PBR.

Ya I was thinking of that also, with how weird everything looks, and how even some elements of the UI are jaggy, maybe they are forcing the game to running in a lower resolution then scaling it up?

That could be causing the regular jaggies, from loss of resolution, then also messing up certain elements that were never meant to be downsampled or whatever the issue is.

Yeah the bats are particularly bad but it's weird despite the bad AA and AF I think overall the game looks a bit better.

The jaggybats are super distracting though.

for 299 and 349 these consoles are giving us more then what we spent

500 and 400 initial prices were first wave prices while iron is hot

You cant expect more from a 349.99 machine
