Re: Should I use circle and square more?

I've always avoided using the power swing because it was less effective for hitting homeruns but so for with TS 16 I've been averaging less than half a HR a game so maybe it's time to play around with the power swings.

Power when I have the bases loaded or on first and second with 0-1 outs to drive the ball through and avoid a double play

I can (and I'll go as far to say we) definitely check swings better with contact swing. I almost always use contact swing with two strikes. I use power swing every once in a while in a hitters count with a slugger at the dish.

lmao I use contact when i have 2 strikes, I'm just making fun of sabers that only care about putting it 10 rows deep or whiffing and not caring

Re: Should I use circle and square more?

Here's how I use the swing buttons:

Contact: Hardly, if ever. Only time I use this is if I'm in a 2-strike count with runners on at the end of the game or in a situation where I need a rally.

Normal: Use this 99% of the time.

Power: Only use this with my run producers and only on the following counts: first pitch, 2-0, and 3-1.

I know the contact is very useful to avoid strikeouts, but I don't feel like I strikeout enough as is, so I figure that helps keep my numbers more realistic.

Re: Should I use circle and square more?

I hit a bunch of homeruns using the normal swing. Some are absolute bombs too. I would only use Power swing when there is a crappy pitcher and I have a stud hitter. Otherwise the PCI gets way too small for consistently getting hits.

Don't use contact. You strike out, you strike out. Normal swing can cover a lot so you will probably foul off something that a contact swing would have caused you put the ball weakly in play.
