Funny, I'm amazing with Bautista.

I think my counter-x factor are the poses where they stand up straight. I can see how having your favourite player at the plate could be it though, but for me, I'm really calm with Bautista there. And when he walks, I feel like I played him right.

McCutchen for me....I play on Legend difficulty and like the rest of you, I get too aggressive with my superstars thinking that they can/should hit any pitch in the zone. Then I take a deep breath, look middle-out, and usually he hits a frozen rope to left center. Its about getting into a hitters count and making that pitcher pay for the fastball.

I really like how pitchers will continue to throw pitches you struggle with, forcing you to change your approach. No better feeling then seeing their confidence meters go down on their breaking pitches because you were smart enough to lay off. Then you get to sit dead red...

I always know if I'm in for a long day at the plate if a pitcher is spotting his curveball on the corner

Re: What player can't you hit with??

In '14 and '15, it was Giancarlo Stanton, this year, it seems to be Miguel Sano.

I was reading that Sano's high discipline rating causes pitchers to throw more stuff out of the zone, but it doesn't feel like that to me, at all. For some reason, I am always behind in the count with him, and I rarely chase. Pitchers just constantly bury breaking balls on the outside corner, and I'm always sitting 0-2 or 1-2, and have to try to battle my way back into the count. He gets pitched to differently than every other player on my team.

I also have a bad tendency to get excited when I get a pitch up, or inside that I can pull with him about every 3rd game, that I swing early, and rip a 400 ft foul.

I can probably hit around .240 with him, but that's mainly from spraying 2 strike pitches, with contact swing, so he hits for absolutely no power. I'll need to change my approach. Maybe start protecting the outside corner a little more, and just trying to go the other way with him, so pitchers stop abusing it on me. It's never bothered me that they are trying to pitch him low and away, they should, but it can start to feel a little crazy with the frequency of pitches that they can rip through the strike zone, and paint the edges with. I just wish a few more would miss outside, haha. Time to adapt.

Last year it was definately McCutcheon for me, I turned off fair trades and budgets and absolutely stacked a franchise team, the whole team was hitting .350-450 while Cutch was struggling to crack the Mendoza line. He's not one of my favourite players or anything just for some reason he couldn't get any love!

This year so far it's been Yoenis Cespedes although he seems to be coming around. I also did a battle royale with 99 Mariners A-Rod and he hit .000 in 14 games

So far for me, in my test chise(while I wait for OSFM), it's Travis d'Arnaud. About 10 games in, still have yet to get a hit with him. Which is too bad, he's one of my favorite players, always want him to succeed. Last year it was Freddie Freeman, for some reason just couldn't get things going with him.

He is a tough ballpark too. I'm thinking he should be hitting 40 HRs when I should be happy with the all the doubles and triples he can rack up with the North Side Notch in left center. Doesn't help he was cold zones on the inside part of plate. I guess I just really wanna hit one onto the rotunda.
