Help!? Catcher not throwing down steals

so... I have made it up to 1700 with this issue but its really starting to hinder my game...


basically, I cannot get my catch to throw to second or third on any steal attempt, I have to smash the button multiple times to get it to throw? players recognize this and beginning to steal everytime.

s a brand new P4 and controller! literally first game ive played on it.

Are you pre-loading throws for steals. Say a runner breaks for 2nd base are you pressing triangle to pre-load throw to 2nd?

Is it a created player? If it is, is their position set as C

Do you have throw cancel on, if that's the case.. bashing the button probably cancels the throw

I'll keep messing with it I guess. I am preloading and throw cancel is off. Catcher is Posey

Are you waiting until after the camera flips around and the catcher catches the ball to press the throw button? If you press it too early, while the pitch is still traveling, the button sometimes doesn't register. You have to wait.

Idk why that happens... science I guess.
