Player Morale
Ok stupid question... How do I view a players morale? Also, can I change it?Milwaukee Brewers | Green Bay Packers | North Carolina Tar Heels | Wisconsin BadgersTags: None -
Re: Player Morale
It's on his player card. Pull it up and move through the pages. One of them will have his morale and overall mood.
I don't think we can edit the expectations."Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment

Re: Player Morale
Press triangle and use L1 and R1 to scroll through. You'll see it. And yes to a certain extent. Depending on what they want will change the morale. (Ex. If a player who expects "top tier" coaching and you can only provide a C level coaching experience than this will upset them. If you hire some better coaches and get your grade to a B or A it will please them)

Re: Player Morale
Help me with one other thing... So in my roster file that I brought into Franchise, Gerritt Cole was a 91 overall but now when I view him he's a 89?
Is this because of something in his morale?Milwaukee Brewers | Green Bay Packers | North Carolina Tar Heels | Wisconsin BadgersComment

Re: Player Morale
Another question on morale. I have pitchers that expect to be a starter but he is unhappy because in his role it has Bullpen.... How do I change this? My whole starting rotation (I am the Cubs) is unhappy because of this, and hurting their overall.Comment

Re: Player Morale
If he's angry, it will drop his OVR some, so could be. Check his morale and see."Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment

Re: Player Morale
I think putting him in the starting rotation would help make him happy. Is he a starter, LRP, or short relief pitcher?
I have a rookie relief pitcher with stamina of 25 who is unhappy in the bullpen. I don't know, maybe he wants to be a closer or a starter. Would be nice if I could ask him why he is unhappy being in the bullpen

Re: Player Morale
Yeah it is common for me, too. Even in new MLB16 franchises, especially for young players.
Seems like whatever their contract gets assigned to be in a new franchise is always lower than what they want."Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment

Re: Player Morale
I can't figure this one out. I just finished a game and my entire rotation was listed as bullpen and my starting lineup was bench. After I played the next game, if fixed itself.
The only thing that I recall doing that was "out of the norm" was that I move Seth Maness to AAA and called up Miguel Socolovich.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: Player Morale
No, it is my whole starting rotation......I have them in the rotation and have went through the rotation three times and it is still showing them upset about their role (which is showing Bullpen).I think putting him in the starting rotation would help make him happy. Is he a starter, LRP, or short relief pitcher?
