Just picked up my sony gold headset, sounds good with all my sounds set up already, turned off the commentary in RTTS, really enjoying it so far.

I wonder who is responsible for the Elite settings, Sony or the studio.

Finally tried the new profile out last night. It sounded great! It really helped the commentary blend better with SOTS with all my added sounds coming in nicely. I picked up on a lot more of the crowd yells and general ambience of the stadium as well (I would imagine this would be a dream for RTTS players in particular for that reason).

Now, some of this was true to a lesser extent prior to the profile just from the benefit of using the headset to begin with, but this setting seemed to strike a better balance than other settings I've tried...really enjoyed it!

Silly question, but do I need to plug my headset in everytime I play the show to upload the setting to them or does it stay after I select it the first time?

Sound profiles stay on the headset until you overwrite them.

Love my Gold headset...

I like to play 'loud' and late at night I do this when I'm playing BF4...

Battlefield (for me) just sounds SO MUCH better on the headset opposed to my surround sound.... (and I have a excellent BOSE system too...)

Hearing the bullets whip past my left ear, right ear, behind me, etc...the immersion is great.

As far as SPORTS titles, I like using the surround sound though.

For shooters....PICK UP the Gold set if you haven't already...

I have a 5.1 surround sound set up with Polk speakers so I'm not sure if I'd rather use the surround sound or the Gold headset.

As much as I love my Pulse Elites, I'll take my surround sound over them all day.
