Free Agent Bug?

When I sign Drew Stubbs to Texas or any team, I cannot add him to the 40 man and promote him from AAA. The message below pops up.

"Only free agents may be added to the 40-man roster between November 20th and the Rule 5 draft in December"

Is it between Nov 20 and the Rule 5 Draft when you're signing him?

If so, you're not allowed to add him to the 40 man roster until after the Rule 5 draft, as the notification says.

No. I'm in the first week of May.

Have you checked that there is space on the 40 man roster? You shouldn't be getting that message if it is full, but maybe it's just a visual glitch.

If not, it sounds like a bad glitch that might not reset until the next Rule 5 Draft is complete.

I've signed free agents without any issues this year. I released SCEA developer players on my team and replaced them with young guys and even signed Alex Rios without issue.
