What's with the coach attributes in Franchise being so negative?

Like on the Sox hitting coach Chili Davis, who's considered pretty good and the team mashes the ball, is minus 2 contact, minus 1 power, minus 3 discipline, and plus 1 bunting.

I don't understand why position coaches would make the team worse? Especially decent ones...

I know people will/are tire(d) of hearing me say it;
still, this is exactly why things like this need to be editable.
And might as well be able to edit those names, as well.

It appears some are out of position. For instance, I had a pitchers coach or 1st or 3rd base coach that was a c with tons of minuses. Replaced him and then saw him available under manager and farm director. He was an A at both with only pluses, 3 +3s and a +1. Chris Bosio or Boslo or something. Hes a cubs coach, thats for sure.
