Thanks I will give it a try although I do pretty well with MLB 15 view, my issue is like I posed above, tonnes of baserunners, a lot of hard contact and way too many double plays, line drives at people.

I don't want to sound like that guy but I kind of have to a bit. I am sure you have a good knowledge of Baseball as a lot of us do on here.

But I struggled early with 16 and had a lot of issues with hitting and general gamelplay. It was then the I realized I was not playing baseball anymore, I was playing the video game. So I took a step back and started playing baseball again. Patience at the plate, waiting for the pitch I needed to do what I needed to do. Sure for a few games i continued to struggle but then things started to click.

My hitting, fielding and overall gameplay started to improve. I started seeing results. Even my pitching improved. Baserunning all of it. I am in my second season with my Nationals franchise and I can honestly say for the first time in a long time of video game baseball I am making a serious run at the World Series. I can feel the momentum sliding into my favor. Things, little and big, are starting to happen and I can honestly see and feel the change in my team. I am in August and have just pulled ahead of the Mets by 10.

So all I am saying is maybe slow your game down a bit. Have runners on? Sit on some pitches, really work it. Think about what you are trying to accomplish. You may strike out looking for a bit but if you are not scoring anyway, what does it matter. Go back to basic. Practice being late/early on purpose. Really work the pitches. Don't swing at anything except the pitch you want! In time it will come back to you and the runs will start flowing again.

Anyway thats my two cents.

I actually agree with the OP. Every single time I get runners in scoring position with less than 2 outs, it seems as if (1) corners are painted with a LOT more consistency, (2) bad calls are made by umpires resulting in strikes that were clear balls, (3) fastballs seem . . . faster . . . I'm not imagining this; and (4) the volume of foul balls increases to force me into bad hitter's counts. This happens regularly and consistently.

No Offense but I don't need tips on how to play..I am patient, wait for my pitch..like I already said hitting the ball very hard is not an issue nor are drawing walks, it is the high instances of Diving plays, line drive hard out hits that increase dramatically with runners on. I know how to sit on pitches, read pitchers and be patient at the plate.

You're not...the game is definitely doing this with silly frequency in scoring opportunities... along with the crazy diving plays and Perfect contact, hard line drive outs.

What level are you playing on? Maybe you should try adjusting difficulty level, adjust sliders?

Good luck
One of those threads where people try to explain the silliness of the game by undermining someone else's skill level?
