Plate Coverage Indicator - Zone Hitting

If I guess the location of the pitch I'm unable to move the PCI. Does anyone know how to fix this? For example, my PCI will be a little low of where I want it, but it locks it because I guessed the correct location even though I'm still lined up to swing on top of the ball. I can move it at all times as long as I didn't guess correctly. Any help would be great.

I thought if you guessed the location correctly the PCI would lock to the location but your timing could affect the height of the PCI. Travel up if you are early and down if you are late. I don't use guess pitch but you can also check the in game guide for info too on how it operates.
