You might remember me, I'm the guy who stupidly signed an 8 year contract with the Cleveland Indians (RTTS). Well that was about 3 months ago. And last night, I played my final game for the Indians after those long 8 seasons. I had constantly asked to be traded but nothing came of it. Anyway, so I'm a free agent, and I'm looking at the contract offers - and I get offerred a 4 year contract by the Marlins.......I negotiate it down to 1 year (having previously learned my lesson the hard way)and they accept an $18m deal.
I'm quite happy about this as I've never played for the Marlins and given what's gone on this week I thought it was appropriate.
The very next day, this pops up:
"You have been traded to the Dodgers"
That's the very next day! I'm kind of astonished that this happens. Is it common for a team to snap up a player then trade the next day? I've also got my favourite team listed down as the Giants in the game (I think) wouldn't that have some bearing on this?
Thanks
