Re: Complete games are killing the realism

I'm not a change slider person either. Hence why this bothers me as such. I have my hook set to 7 and staminas 5/3. Set and done. It is what it is. All in all, it's a video game and always will be. You just make it as close to real and enjoyable as possible. Games have come along way since I started playing (Atari 2600) but there will always be human intangibles that a video system can not reproduce..... Well, as of yet.

Franchise SIM is dead. Find your favorite iterations and play it forever. Card games are whats "now" and games will cater in that direction and forget realism.

Just have fun and play :)

Re: Complete games are killing the realism

I dont' have an issue with starters in the games I play. Seems pretty realistic and in fact sometimes guys get pulled a little early (75 pitches or so). The issues is in simmed games where CGs are racked up and with relievers, particularly in extra innings games. You get relievers going 4 and 5 innings, throwing 60 pitches.

There might be some sliders that you can adjust? Realism of MLB THE SHOW was over once they introduced showtime and bullet time fielding effects. We will have to see how this effects 17

There are, but the problem is that the sim engine and the "live play" engine do not perform the same in this regard.

What works in "live" play tends to cause too much CGs in the sim engine. However, if you play "live" with what works for the sim engine, the pitchers in "live" play, especially starters, will tend to tire too quickly.

Thus, the rub. You'll have to flip flop back and forth, a workaround that has been adopted, but should not be necessary. The sim engine needs adjusting so that it generates more like what you see in the MLB (which is probably true in several areas, honestly - I think CGs are just getting the attention).

Maybe instead of having to change sliders bak and forth all the time scea can just make each slider category have a sim slider and a live play slider .

Or a "Sim Slider" section.

We'd Have Play Sliders. Sim Sliders. User Settings. Mode Settings.

Works for me.
