so here's an alternative.
81 will be easier. Sometimes I wonder if I will be alive to see the first team to retire a players jersey number in 80's. The Cardinals retired 85 for their owner and no team has retired a number in the 90's. The White Sox retired 72 for Carlton Fisk. 66 was retired by Tampa for coach Don Zimmer. A handful of players have had numbers in the 50's retired. Trevor Hoffman, Bernie Williams, Randy Johnson and Don Drysdale among them. Funny thing is no team has ever retired number 0. I suspect 99 will be retired eventually by someone. And probably sooner than another number in the 80's. Sometimes I rattle on too long

Maybe this is the last number i cheat on. On the one one hand the days are are shedding away quickly. On the other hand they're not going by quick enough
