Re: Chalk Degradation

I wish that home plate, the bases and the baseball got a little dirtied up

Re: Chalk Degradation

From some of the streams it seems like their is a lot less chalk degradation in RTTS and games with quick counts.

Yea, in RttS, you will on see it when either your player is involved in a play at the plate that would cause it or if you are on base and the CPU does something there. There have been times where my RttS player has come up in the 9th inning and the chalk around home plate looks brand new.

Re: Chalk Degradation

I played two full games last night and there was very little if any chalk degradation around home plate.

I played 3 full games, one in Suntrust and two in Dodger Stadium and there was very noticeable chalk degradation. Also degradation at 1st and 2nd base from all the sliding.

Re: Chalk Degradation

I've played 6 full (no quick count) games thus far in Tampa and in St. Louis. There has been little to no chalk degredation in each game. I've also watched many games on streams. The only degradation you see is the dirt, which is much better this year. But in terms of the chalk, they took a step backwards this year. Last year was much better. It is true when a runner slides into home plate for instance you can see chalk degradation. But only at that time. I posted a couple videos in another thread showing that IRL chalk degradation is significant usually within the first couple innings of the game. We don't see this even late in games. Perhaps someone can post a pic of actual chalk degradation in the game that you think is significant?

Re: Chalk Degradation

You will only see chalk degradation if the player slides into a base. In years past you would see a gradual degradation around the batters box and base lines throughout the game. Hope this gets fixed
