Digital copy vs Hard Copy

To me physical copies of sports games makes little sense. Annual releases lose their value so quickly. I have 80% of my library digitally. For me it makes sense because every game I buy I can download on my sons ps4 for free. You can't do that with a physical copy, and lastly, I like just being able to switch between games with my controller.

Re: Digital copy vs Hard Copy

Going hard copy this year strictly due to the Griffey cover.

Otherwise, the people caping for digital make a lot of sense as it applies to sports games.

Ramon's mentioned it during one of the streams. I believe it was the graphics one. If I recall right, it was in the 44-48GB range.

Re: Digital copy vs Hard Copy

So what if (god forbid) I buy the digital download, and my PS4 crashes and burns..... that would mean I would have to buy the game again, correct? (along with another PS4)

No. Once you buy it, you can re-download it as many times as you like. If you go to PS store and look under download list(drop down list under your PSN name), you will see every game you can download to your PS4.

Edit: I should clarify that this can be done from your computer or PlayStation app.

Re: Digital copy vs Hard Copy

To be fair not everyone buying the game is a hardcore baseball fan that's going to play the game for 12 months.

For instance buying the game for 6 months(half the year) then trading it in for $25 at gamestop for RDR, could be a common theme for some people. RDR is now $35.

No, games are bought with your PSN. If your PS4 crashes and burns, when you log into your new PS4 with the same PSN, you can re download all of your purchases.

I just did this when I upgraded to the PS4 Pro. I have 5 digitally downloaded games and re downloaded them all.
