quick count vs normal game time
I am just curious if anyone has any numbers on how much faster it is to play a game with quick counts on compared to playing every pitch.Tags: None -

Re: quick count vs normal game time
No real numbers for me, but probably about 45-60 minutes, depending on the number of hits, walks, how much of the presentation I skip, etc. when using normal settings. With Quick Counts it is probably in the 20-30 minute rangeComment

Re: quick count vs normal game time
I dont X out of anything and play every inning/pitch of a game in Broadcast and my games can run 90 minutes or more.In Loving memory of my "Cricket" 1/2/96 - 11/19/2012

Re: quick count vs normal game time
A normal game without quick counts is easily over 1 hour for me. Not longer than 1:30 though.

Re: quick count vs normal game time
I've tried the quick counts a time or two. I loved how quick the games would go but sometimes it kind of ruined strategies for me. But if you're focus is to just get through as many games as you can, and you're not too worried about playing into some strategy or anything it's definitely the way to go. To each their own, as long as you're having fun!

Re: quick count vs normal game time
Wow. I wish I had that kind of time haha I don't get as much time to play anymore and I usually squeeze out an hour or two every Saturday and Sunday morning (going to try to play more on weeknights) so I like being able to get in as many games as possible.Comment

Re: quick count vs normal game time
I played with quick counts on 14 a ton.
I stopped after 14 because I found I lost a lot of my “approach” at the dish. Just did not feel right for me personally.
I would say it took me 45 minutes a game with quick counts as opposed to 70-90 minutes with full counts, broadcast mode and not “x” through cut scenes etc.Now Playing on PS5:

Re: quick count vs normal game time
Quick counts knocks off at least 15 minutes a game. I use it a fair amount when I want to play the game but know I need to be a bit more rushed.Check out my updated 2017 blog on building a high school football video game:

Re: quick count vs normal game time
One regular game a series, the rest quick counts is how I play my franchises . Usually can get a full game in, in about 1 hour 15 minutes and a quick counts game in a 20-25 minute period

Re: quick count vs normal game time
For me in the show 16 in manage mode with fast play and zero countdown between pitches it took 45 minutes to an hour. A lot depends on what settings you use.
I play every inning of every game except for spring training and after my team is eliminated from the playoffs so I like to get through games quickly while still having all managerial options available. Quick count does not allow me to have all managerial options available but I can understand why it appeals to people who want to get through games more quickly.≡Comment

Re: quick count vs normal game time
Yup. If my full broadcast games are shorter than 1:30, then somebody's throwing a no-hitter or I'm free-swinging too much and/or throwing too many strikes that the CPU is putting in play quickly for outs.Comment

Re: quick count vs normal game time
Scott, even with quick counts, how the heck do you finish a full game in 15 minutes? LolComment
