Why are the servers still down?

I was able to get my packs open. Took forever. They were mostly junk of course.

I can't get back in to do anything now. Frustrating. I feel like this happens for every sports game launch. You are right. We pay full price and get half a game on launch.

I'm disappointed sure, but I'm sure it will go at some point. Most long Show fans are used to day one server issues.

What really is gross to see is Twitter users just really giving it to the dev team. I WANT MY MONEY BACK GIVE ME FREE PACKS WAAAAAAAAAA. I know everyone is anxious to play, and Im sure SDS is not pleased with this either, but come on now. Just awful.

I dont really play DD much so it doesnt really bother me that the servers are down. But that is a terrible excuse. Its pretty bad when the consumer basically knows going in that a games servers wont work. Any time i buy a game these days I fully expect to now be able to play online for the first day or two. And that should not be a thing. EA, 2k, Sony, Ubisoft and many more have the same issues every time a new game drops. It would be nice if someday they would learn from their mistakes.

Well they have years of data to capacity plan. Based on the last few years they should know what the load looks like on day one and do something about it. It's the same every year. I'm starting to believe they don't care about day one issues knowing it will level out over time.

Also, last year it wasn't exactly a "day one" issue, it was more like a two week issue. Which is probably what this will be this year if history teaches us anything.
