Didn't they show a throwing meter for catchers in one of the streams? I haven't seen that in my very limited play time, but the one chance I had to throw someone out, it wasn't there.

What fielding type are you using? I think it only pops up if you're using meter throwing for fielding. If I'm not mistaking I don't think it will pop up if you are using button throwing for fielding.
