I will say that I have increased difficulty to legend and with the smaller PCI and better CPU pitching it has improved my experience. I just find it hard to believe I've gone from an all star difficulty hitter to legend.

Last year the first patch released on April 16th.

That in no way indicates that a patch will be released around the same time for MLB '17.

I've yet to see this happen or anything close to it.

I agree with everyone's sentiment though, while I think there are multiple factors at play here, the CPU leaving the ball over the heart of the plate seems to be the major one.

Re: Too many HR's?

I've given up playing online because more than half the hits I give up are homeruns. Even if I throw a perfect pitch out of the zone or in a hitters cold zone, AND my opponent doesn't have the batters eye anywhere near the pitch, I am getting homered on. Literally makes no sense.

Well if it happens again, I'll screenshot it. I'm not using hyperbole and I'm not lying about it. I've modified my sliders since, though.

I believe you. I've hit some almost like that, below the strike zone and opposite field.

Of course I have no idea if that happens in the majors or not.

Too many HR's?

This games completely broken online. I just had a 5-4 game you think would be enjoyable but it's just garbage. Pitching against directional or whatever is all luck. Fastball a foot outside . Opposite field blast. Fastball way high , 460 foot bomb. Fastball down the middle, called ball four.

I'm zone plus analog but I highly doubt anyone else I've played is the way this game is. I'm fed up until the patch . Just sad really.

It's just so obvious too. You'll play someone and their players batting averages are all over .300 and .400. Meanwhile my guys are mid to high in the .200s. It was the same thing last year too. Sigh ...

Re: Too many HR's?

I know I've told my experience as to not seeing the too many homeruns issue, but wanted to share of snapshot of my last game. Yes this is Spring Training and it was at Sportsman Park.

But we combined for 9 hits, all singles except for the Grichuk homerun.

This is default HOF with Zone Hitting and Meter pitching. It's also a carryover franchise.
