You are, but off the top of my head I don't recall exactly where it is in the settings. Try looking under hitting settings?

This setting was removed from The Show 16 and The Show 17. There are currently no plans to bring it back, as an extremely small number of users ever toggled the option on/off. Sorry for the confusion.

Looks like you are right. I looked again closely and found no settings for it. Cannot believe we are stuck with this hideous thing.

Yeah I'm pretty sure the lack of people changing it is because people generally don't go through all the settings. Should've not removed the option.

I don't actually have the red halo in RttS...My two RttS players I use I brought over from previous versions that I turned it off. I think the option was in '16 version of the show because I created one there and remember turning it off.

I appreciate Adam coming on here and responding, but it has to be said it's an extremely closed minded attitude he's displaying.

Adam, clearly there are a bunch of people, myself included, who detest the ball halo and believe it destroys the immersion and realism you guys work so hard to achieve.

Your response here, and on Show Nation, that you removed the option to turn off the halo because hardly anyone uses it is clearly not based in fact.

There were a number of threads last year and already are this year asking where the option is to turn off the halo. If it was in previous versions, why remove it anyway? Is it really that hard to implement? I highly doubt it, so it just smacks of laziness and not giving a damn.

What is the point of developing the most realistic sports game of all time, only to then leave a massive halo around the ball?

Those who want to use a halo fine, use it, but why alienate a whole section of gamers who hate the damn thing?

This is one of those development decisions that to me at least, makes absolutely zero sense.

Look at the NHL series, there you have a number of options for puck shadow, increase the puck size, or go the realistic route and have the plain old normal puck, which is of course what I play with.

If EA Sports can do it Adam then why not you guys?
