MLB 17- Fielding

I saw one play were the outfielder misjudged the ball off the bat. Took a step forward and realized it was hit harder than expected then the ball when over his head. I forgot what fielder it was but it was a nice play to see cause you see it in real life occasionally.

Speaking of fielding, I've seen some suspect defense by the pitcher and first baseman.

- On some occassions, the pitcher won't run to cover first when the 1B is going for the ball

-I threw a ball in from LF, didn't cut it off as I assumed the 2B would catch it and limit the hitter to a single. It bounced and rolled past first base, over to the tarp, and no one bothered to get it until the batter was halfway between third and home.

-Had one where the 1B running to the bag DIDN'T tag it, and then stood there with no urgency at all as the batter reached safely.

The fielding controls are the biggest improvement for me. The analog control of the players is so much tighter than it has been in the past. I can understand why people played with auto-fielding in the earlier games but they are missing out on a major improvement in the game.

For the first time ever in a baseball game, I have just as much fun pitching and fielding as I do hitting.
