Created Player Names

Is there any possibility that they will update the created player name database? My only complaint is that I can't get my last name (which is in the game already) pronounced because it is not in the database for created players. I know that this is a minor thing but I was just wondering if an update may appear in a patch or roster update.

I highly doubt it. Last year when they added players in roster updates, they didn't add the names to the database. I don't think it's something they can patch, I wouldn't expect any new names til' next year.

Well hopefully they’ll update it. I need the last name pronunciation for Matt Sczur available. I’m tired of using the Ceśar pronunciation as I am not Hispanic. Lol

I wish they could add a phonetic alphabet or something and let us create names for rookies called up mid season. It may not be as fluid as an actual name, but better than " number 45".

if not a phonetic alphabet, how about a database of everyday words/numbers in game already. I'll use Touki Touissant as an example....we could use "two" and "key" to pretty much nail it, both words are already in the game.

Or let us use the existing name database and pick and choose by syllable. Take the "tu" from Tulowitzki and combine it with "ki" from Kike.

I know its pie in the sky, it could be a programming nightmare and the reward probably isn't worth it. I just hate playing with guys that don't have an actual name that is pronounced.
