Is API from CPU teammate catchers a dynamic skill?!

In other words, are some catchers suggestions better than others? Does Yadi call a better game than some random rookie or is it globally based on the pitching level or just a flat feature across all skill levels?

i would presume not since there's no attribute for it, though i suppose it could theoretically be tied to defense or "hidden". i'm voting it's global and just based on the batter.

Great question. I've always wondered this as well.

Is API from CPU teammate catchers a dynamic skill?!

I have been asking for some type of catcher IQ catcher chemistry rating to make this a more dynamic feature of the game.

As it stands right now and someone correct me if I'm wrong the catcher will call pitches based on how well you're throwing them throughout the game so I assume they're using the confidence levels that your building in each pitch thrown throughout the game.

It would be cool if a developer could give us an explanation of how API is used in terms ofwhat algorithm is used in determining what pitch the catcher calls.

The cool thing is though sometimes my catchers do call a great game and sometimes they don't.

When I know a certain pitch is not working for me and my catcher calls it I simply shake him off.

Something I have noticed with 17 that has been improved are catchers calling for timely pitch outs.

Just gunned down a runner on a called pitch out from catcher. Love it.
